Name, Image, Likeness (NIL) Marketing Technology Platform, ATHLYT, announces Over Three-Quarter Million Dollar Seed Funding for Expansion of Multi-Athlete Campaign Platform

BOISE, Idaho--(BUSINESS WIRE )--ATHLYT, the Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) marketing technology platform, announced today it has closed its seed funding round from venture capital firms and respected private investors. According to ATHLYT’s CEO Kirk Uhler, the investment will be used to hire new staff to manage the incredible growth in new athlete attraction. ATHLYT also intends to bring in additional staff to assist with helping small and medium sized businesses connect with college athletes for marketing campaigns.

Led by Connetic Ventures (https://conneticventures.com) and joined by Capital Eleven (https://capitaleleven.com), the round included an incredible list of successful business and start-up investment leaders, including Allen Morgan, Founder, Chairman & CEO of Idealab NY, and Visiting Fellow to Keble College, University of Oxford.

"We like to invest in innovative companies that see beyond the immediate and are in their respective spaces for the long haul,” said Kyle Schlotman, Partner and CIO of Connetic Ventures. “ATHLYT has figured out a long-term way to work with all student-athletes, not just the top names in college sports.”

In addition to student-athletes, small and medium businesses stand to benefit from the NIL rule change.

“For the first time in history, businesses of all size can leverage the impact of college sports to promote their brand,” said Travis Hawkes, Managing Partner of Capital Eleven. “The door to the $60 billion a year market of small and medium business advertising has just been thrown open, and we believe ATHLYT is uniquely positioned to capture a sizable chunk of that.”

After successfully Alpha testing the prototype of ATHLYT’s cutting edge marketing technology, a platform which enables businesses of any size to work with multiple college athletes within a single marketing campaign, ATHLYT is excited to expand their services to more college athletes, more businesses, and more platforms.

“Our technology makes every college student-athlete valuable to advertisers and eligible and able to make real money from the new NIL rules,” said Ray Austin, former NFL player and Chief Brand Officer for ATHLYT. “Unlike most NIL platforms, ATHLYT is truly designed to be NIL for all. All student-athletes and all businesses of all size. No matter your sport, your school, your division, your position, or your social media following, if you’re a collegiate student-athlete and you want to be a part of the ATHLYT platform, we can’t wait to have you!”

ATHLYT was co-founded in 2021 by former NFL defensive back, and current Commissioner of the Fan Controlled Football League, Ray Austin and casting director and Casting Calls America co-founder Brian Jagger. They bring a unique combination of sports, TV/film, influencer marketing, and technology development, positioning ATHLYT to be the NIL marketing technology and opportunity-connecting leader for years to come.
